Aysha, RN (EC), MN is a licensed nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner she can integrate evidence-informed knowledge with advanced assessment skills to establish diagnoses, order diagnostic tests, prescribe therapeutic interventions, formulate an appropriate plan of care, and implement a follow up and monitoring plan in collaboration with the patient to optimize health.
Aysha strongly believes that it is important to maintain a healthy balance between your mind, body, and spirit by nurturing your whole self, including your physical, mental and emotional needs .
She graduated from the University of Toronto with several degrees including Baccalaureate of Science in Neuroscience & Psychology, Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing, Masters in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner-Adult emphasis stream.
Her past experiences include psychiatry, geriatrics, clinical research experience with bioavailability and bioequivalence studies, and conducting systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses on Mild Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Her education and the considerable variety of clinical experiences, the exposure to different patient populations and caring for patients with chronic and persistent illnesses allows her to combine her knowledge of traditional medicine with alternative therapies to provide patients access to comprehensive, quality care.
She has a strong vision for her evolving career pathway as evidenced by the transition to integrative medicine.
Her interest and enthusiasm in providing advanced level of clinical care and an ongoing quest to improve practice positions her to deliver a better quality of care.
She is professionally trained in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.
She is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and has completed a Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine, which focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to providing holistic and comprehensive care.
Aysha currently lives in Ajax with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and learning new languages.
